No love for the WSM?

I have had 3 and currently have 2 (300 and 325). For the 300wsm the price of ammo is not much different if you compare the same ammo, ie same manufacturer, same bullet, same line (ie federal premium tsx against fed premium tsx). From what I have seen it is usually under $5 a box difference between the 300wsm and the 300 win mag. You can't really compare price of 270 win to WSM that is like comparing the price of 30-06 to 300 win mag. I will say that there is not much for cheap ammo to be had, the winchester grey box can be tough to find if you want cheap factory loads.

I have a T3 stainless in 270wsm that just loves 140 Accubond (handloads) and my A-bolts stainless in 300wsm with 180 Accubond are just great, both very accurate with great velocity................ They just love Deer and Moose

I love my 270 wsm Winchester 70 Classic SS.But I think my youngest son has taken it over.(over a Sako 280 Imp.)

Look hard enough and some guy is trashing anything you and I like.

Specifically my:
tikka T3's
sako 75's
260 rem
45 70
revolvers
etc, etc yawn...

If buddy had balls he might work on the anti's.
Anti gun, anti hunting...

I have a 270 WSM Kimber right now but also had a Win M70 FTW in 300 WSM, both great guns and reliably accurate performers. My choice in using the WSM's over longer similar calibers is that they can be chambered in lighter shorter rifles, if they don't have this advantage I would just as well use the longer older calibers instead so what we are left with is something like the Kimber rifles as the prime example of what a WSM should be chambered in, IMHO.
