Still "need" one of these!...
My medium weight barrelled 77/22 Hornet is the most accurate rifle in my collection. I can't say enough about that one.
Then I can sell the CZ...

CZ is 5.85 pounds listed, Ruger 6.5. CZ, I'd argue that there's a LOT more first hand support for CZ's shooting better on average. Not one .22LR Ruger 77/22 with iron sights. And CZ is cheaper.
It is not the Mk 2 centrefire being discontinued.

Well that's not good news, they were one of Rugers defining rifles. What's going on with Ruger, is it the end of an era. They are putting out more, and more crap, and dropping the qualityI had a 77/22, it was my first higher end rifle. Once the trigger was worked over, it was a phenomenal little gun, can't count the gophers it mowed down. My buddy plied me with alcohol and talked me out of it.
Hard to get excited about a Ruger rimfire at near Anschutz prices. Remember when No. 1's were about $1100 new? You know, a couple of years ago.....
I'll agree to disagree. Perhaps on the pricey side these days, but the CZ's while decent are nothing special.
