No more Dynapoints at Walmart?

yes, and be sure to send a copy of the letter to Winchester- that way they'll also know what's going on and why we insist on the dynapoint-chances are they won't listen , but if a big chain like wal-mart says something, they will- maybe even do an exclusive or something

WalMart wont give a rats ass about what we say...We're pretty small compared to the big market out there and they are loyal to the $$. Ask any supplier how they grind them on price. Unfortunately they make their bux on volume and they move a ton of the stuff no matter whether if its good or not. Sure, they stand behind the product, but with ammo, what is left to stand behind after u shoot it.. Sorry boys, I think we should enjoy the good times while they were here. And as for Federal, they too had a run of crap earlier and they admitted to having sub standard goods out there by error. Anybody who wrote them and advised them in fact received an apology and a cheque, which I have never seen from anybody else. Ya pays yur money and ya takes yur chances...

You are right, but there comes a time when you become tired of running into brick walls... Feel free to complain, and I for one will appreciate your efforts..

I was afraid that the Dynapoints would disappear, so I laid in a few thousand while they were still available. They shoot well in almost everything I use them in. My 581 Remington just loves them, some groups at 50 meters are close to ½" for 5, not bad for ammo I paid $12.95/500 for!!! Eagleye.

Was just at the local Walmart and asked the guy at the sports counter about the dynapoints. He scanned them in and they came up with a "non replacable" code which he says means they won't be getting any more so I stocked up.....

I bought 2/500 boxes of Dynapoints last spring, which I did not use yet. There are three Walmart Stores not too far apart from where I live in the Laurentians just north of Montréal so I guess I'll run over this weekend and try to get my my hands on all that's left ,if any.If I can't get the Dynapoints anymore,my next best buy will have to be Federal Blazers, for the price, I think that they are pretty accurate.Guess what I found a few minutes ago checking on the Dynapoints?Full box of CIL 22 long.Old box.I wonder how accurate
they can be.Small lead copper plated point like the short. They must be fast.
I'll keep you posted.
Good shooting,CCIC

I just came back from the range and chucked out almost a full box (500rnds) of Xperts into the dud bucket. Couldn't get them to fire with 3 types of .22's. Out of 100 tried only 10 fired... Real junk!

Wal-mart refuses to take ammo back. Big signs all over the ammo cabinets, and the clerk reminds you everytime you buy ammo.

Checked today at the twoWalmart Stores nearby and all I could see was the Win XPerts.Well, I guess we have seen the last of the WD22LRB DYNAPOINTS.Too bad they were good stuff. We'll have to check and see if the WD22LRB will come out in a new box.
Good shooting,CCIC

Wal-Mart sucks! Here in Red Deer, in addition to Dynapoints, they've recently stopped carrying Win. Super-X 22LR HV in 500 round bricks. The cheapest .22LR ammo that will reliably cycle my AP-74 action. I have no further use for Wal-Mart.

Am I the only one so far who has not been impressed whatsoever with Dynapoints through their rifle? I was expecting some great accuracy, and was really let down.

Anyone?

+2 I call them Dynaduds.

As about a 1/3 of my last box was duds or "poofers", and that was with by bolt action .22, my Semi auto .22 went something like pop, click, click, BANG, Pop, Bang, Bang, Jam, Click...etc.

The Win X-perts seem about as bad in my rifles, but IMHO X-perts seem to be about as dirty as their Wildcats.

And my groups at a bench rest where round 2" at 100 yards...while CCI, and Federal ammo gives me 1" at 100 yards.

a lot of times it's the gun- i've got a beretta 948 that went through about 18 kinds of ammo before it would feed relaibly- turns out it liked wichester wildcats best- the norinco on the other hand will digest anything- same with the ruger

My Ruger mark 3 eats anything, the dynapoints were real accurate so it sucks a big one not to be able to get them any more, and the winchester xpert were pretty good too, but apparently wallyworld wont be getting any more of those in either!

On one of the days I was at the range with the troublsome ammo I was shooting with a guy that had a 10/22, and another with an old coey.

I let them try the ammo, and they also had the same problems with it.
