No more guns for me this year

Hmmm, I had a similar year...

Remington M700 CDL Boone and Crocket Edition in 7mm-08
Franchi Veloce 28 gauge
Franchi Rennasaince Field 20 Gauge
Remington M700 Mountain Rifle in 280
Remington M700 SPS with Bansner stock in 25-06

I think I am done too! Thats okay, only 13 days then the whole process can start all over!

i was wondering what you think of the remington m700 mountain 280, and franchi ennasaince field ?

This year I bought:
- Pre64 M70 300H&H Standard Rifle
- Pre64 M70 Featherweight 270
- M700 25-284 that Guntech built for me with a PacNor barrel and McMillan sporter stock
- Anschutz M1422 22LR w/ classic stock

Next year? I've got a McMillan Edge ordered for the fwt 270 which will become my all-arounder. That's all I plan on buying. Really!

I spent more time on the phone with the CFC this year than I wanted to.

Yeah, that too, but the voice assured me my call would be answered by the first available agent. I hear that hold music in my nightmares. :coldsweat:...
oh well, I guess there isn't one for that.

One time, I suggested they change it to Wagner's 'Die Valkure'. It was duly noted.

My project for the New Year is to build a new reloading bench and get everything set up to seriously get back into it. Start shooting what I already have more. 'Course if something new comes along I might be tempted too... :p

The Remington Mountain Rifle is a recent acquisition, and I only recently got the rings and bases I was waiting for. So I have not had it to the range yet, but I love the feel and the weight of the rifle...light enough for an all day carry and heavy enough to be reasonable on the recoil...I hope!

The Franchi Rennaisance is awesome, I have shot about 2 flats of ammo through it since I got it in August. It shoulders well for me, and points naturally. I like the break action shotguns for their safety factor, with my pointer I walk with the gun loaded but open, when he points, I snap it shut and I am ready to shoot on the flush. This one also has 26" barrels and weighs up right at 6 pounds, very nice for long days in the field, and the recoil pad does a very nice job, in fact second shots are faster with this gun than any other I have ever owned.

My year:

Remington 870P 12 ga. with MCS
Leupold MKIV 6.5-20X50 TMR
Aimpoint CompM4s

Can't wait for 2009....Maybe a Dakota...:p
