At this late date , and the ban deadline nearing , the risk of bringing in more stock probably just isn't worth it .
Do you know something we don't? Is there a ban in place? It's still possible at this point there is no ban yet? NOT a done deal.

No ban yet, of course, however parliament returns Sept 19. Lots can happen - including an election- that would keep this from becoming law. However, it would be foolish for any business, especially a distributor not to plan for all outcomes.
LOl! That's your reasoning? Not buying it.
Anyhow, they arent giving anyone a head's up.
Tellling consumers after the fact doesnt help them.
Plan ahead? How? Get in our time machines and order Stoeger items?
I dont think you get it: This issue isnt about the notice, its about the timing of the notice. They could have warned people long before and then allowed possibly a few more orders come in before any self imposed cut-off.
Any respectale business does this. Part is going obsolete? You warn your customers up front. Manfucturer tells distributers/retailers they are stopping production? They warn them and tell them to get their orders in by a certain date to ensure availalbility and the parts are provided in a final delivery.
I’m sorry but I find your argument stupid. Literally everyone knew what this meant for firearm ownership and the risk for dealers and distributors. That caused a rush and essentially put the market on fire. Some dealers stopped restocking as soon as the announcement was made, others continued for some time. Obviously the distributor is going to heed these signs and also take action themselves. You maybe throwing a tantrum because you didn’t get what you want but the sad truth is that these distributors and dealers will likely be laying off people after a significant portion of their business is eliminated. But on the positive side at least this legislation hasn’t impacted legal firearm owners and businesses.
Your retort is incomprensible. Again another one that doesn't understand the nuance. Hey if a dealer or distributor wants to stop selling by all means, stop, but give ample warning. Tantrum? Hardly. Typical response from someone who can't debate the issue with reason. I have everything I want so its not that I'm upset because I didn't get what I wanted. Well I'm looking for a used glock 17. Would be buying that from stoeger anyway.
So let's look at the nonsensical part of your "stupid" post.
You mention "rush", "market on fire" etc so the response is to stop selling?! Man, no one needs to argue with you, you are arguing with yourself and making it obvious that you are clueless. Bad example.
“give ample warning” - why would a distributor have any obligation to reveal or explain their business decisions to you?
“obvious that you are clueless” - I guess I am, along with the dealers who are also making these “stupid” decisions. We obviously don’t have any insight on evaluating the risk vs. reward.
They have no obligation. Its common business courtesy and if they want to keep a loyal customer base. Why do you think companies like North silva and the old marstar under John are universally hated, whereas companies like prophet river and Ellwood Epps have stellar reputations.
To address the last point. Yes you are clueless. That is now beyond doubt.
Once again you miss the point. Its not about the decision, its about the timing of announcing that decision. To reiterate; you are clueless.
You're an idiot, go cry somewhere else.
Wonder what follows next….
Do you know something we don't? Is there a ban in place? It's still possible at this point there is no ban yet? NOT a done deal.
I read the announcement as "we have now brought in everything we can get delivered before the Liberals & NDPs are planning to enact the freeze".
This is exactly it. It’s not unreasonable for Stoeger to want to avoid being stuck with firearms they can’t sell and have to jump through Trudeau hoops to get rid of them. If we start turning on one another we will have nothing. If this legislation wasn’t tabled they would still be bringing handguns in. The blame should only be placed on the liberal government.
The first to throw in the towel.
