No more reloading

It's getting tough out there, I agree. The better of the 2 LGS got out of selling guns and anything that requires a fed license, the owner is 75+ years old and I can understand. The other one has 4 lb of powder, still in the tins not plastic so me and a few others do combined bulk buys now. One of my group knows the new owner of Budget Shooting supplies, so that's good news. I reload because it's cheaper, and more customizable than factory ammo. My bank busting .338 LM is now about 4 $ a pop DIY, vs 10+$ if purchasing. DIY will be better IF we can continue getting components, but the way things are looking it'll be prohibition by taxation

It’s sad when you can find local. Biggest problem is a small store can’t afford to stock everything. How many of us go through the site sponsors and place two or three places because it was cheaper or not in stock. Profit margins aren’t large sometimes.
I hear yah, but our LGS even being a small store is part of a much bigger store owned by the same people that own “half” of Whitehorse hahaha. I know margins are small on some of that stuff but huge on other things. It’s a balance and the will to supply your community with what they need. As for bricks and mortar store having a hard time because of online shopping they would be no more but it ain’t the case!

So I was at our local gun store( the only one in the territory) and they have a sale on reloading stuff 20% off everything other than powder and primers, so I asked if it was because they are getting out of it and they said yes 😮. So we will be able to buy primers and powder, but for how long I don’t know. And they basically have no powders lol. Kind of sad!
Happened to one of my LGS years ago. Then again that LGS (Wanstalls) is now shuttered entirely... I hope yours doesn't face the same fate...

You can't be the only person in Whitehorse that has that problem, get a bunch of guy's together and place a large order from Corlains in Dawson Creek share the shipping. Trying to smuggle some in from Alaska is just asking for trouble  big time
order and wait? might as well use the lgs, shipping is more reasonable by the pallet load
