View attachment 455169View attachment 455170View attachment 455171heres the winchester delux i got thats cheaper than the italian copies and no price gouge .bought great price from a dealer on this sight.
View attachment 455172and the remlin that i hand picked from another dealer on this sight for 900 plus tax this spring .with all the premiums dealers were getting on the dark series and new sfx and customs ,i cant wait to see the quality of ruger...remlins will take a nose dive . the price gouging that are going on and people on here charging more for the guns used than new because of panic buys .. no more marlins ummm remlins . haaaa ill wait for the new ruglins or whatever the nick name will be but i know at least i will be getting quality firearm not a chrappa...you could buy an actual delux 1886 from winchester cheaper than some italian copies...
hopefully they make the sfx and darks ....production supposed to be mid 2021...and it wont be a remlin. you can just see the ee getting busy with people trying to offload the remlins to get a quality gun again...

My 2020 dark series 1894 seems like they had figured out their quality control issues. Fit/quality are just as nice as my 1951 JM 336. Come to think of it, The Rugers I own don't seem to be at a higher quality at all. Hope you aren't expecting more than Ruger will give you.

that henry looks great and i know there smooth as silk.early they had the brass receiver but the black looks good.just want to handle one before purchase.i also like that the lever loop is not too big for hands and big enough for gloves

the later remlins were hit and miss.the issue of front sight canted.i went through close twenty 1895gs before getting one that was as good as an older jm,another member of our hunting party got one a month older and he cut his fingers as the edges of the lever were not polished but just sharp edges.he wants to send in for repairs but dosent know what to do .his hammer is also very sharp.it was a mail order. so he scoped his because his front sight was canted and he has a wild west lever coming .

Ruger No.1 quality wood. Maybe some unique caliber runs in the 1894 and 1895.

That will be a home run.

Completely agree.
I have two Marlins one from 2018 and an 1894c purchased last august ans they are both flawless and accurate.
I have been disappointed with as many brand new ruger with horrible front sights and blemishes and barrel issues.
The whole Remlin dialogue is getting old.
No manufacturer is perfect.

look every one has good guns and some bad ones but remington went through a lot of bad guns or rough guns that it passed off.production date of the one that cut my friends finger was august 2018, i sent back two to the dealer, buying online in feb. lost 20 percent restocking fee. walked into cabelas and went through a few there, walked into tenda just before covid and picked through 4 of them before finding this gs. and yes very accurate at a 100. . one thing i found it is that the stainless guns are slicker than th blued versions because more polishing to get out tool marks ,so a dealer told me.ive got a brand new remlin 336 walnut blued in 35 rem and it takes a lot of force compared to other leavers to stroke its. very tight and still in the box.looks like ill get the henry side gate 35 and sell the remlin after. i dont like to or know how to tinker with polishing actions so would rather get something hand picked.some guns ill never sell ie too centimental and others i do because i switch calibers or styles of hunting.we can bash anyones product but everyone has there favorite and loyal to. a gun well put together ,accurate for the purpose and fits me is what i look for.hell because of covid ive bought more guns than ever on line. but ive put a lot online not because of quality but if it fits me at the time,

1894c are poilshed for cowboy action shooting.stainless guns are also polished and custom gunshop ones are polished but you pay for that, i guess all depends if it was built on tuesday or friday

I'll take older, quality used rifles and have them restored/refinished if necessary than risk more disappointment with the race-to-the-bottom products churned out by many of these shareholder companies today. There are exceptions of course, but they are usually made in Europe or Japan, or cost an arm and a leg.

I'm looking forward to the new Marlins being made under Ruger ownership , I'm sure they'll be solid , useful rifles . I'm not going to get rid of my Remlin 1895 though , it's accurate and reliable , the only things I care about . I won't be surprised if Ruger tweeks the chamberings in different rifles , or does limited runs of unusual configurations , like the Lipseys Specials , it should be interesting .
