Gotta call BS on that one. Show me STATE DEPARTMENT reference on the status of export permits for AR's or Ar parts.

Some Italian guy's word about a DoD release means all of nothing ;)

agree

gotta agree on this. not for the same reason though. We will not see any M4's or M16A2/A4's.

16 inch bushy's and the rest in that catagory should be fine. been like that for some time now though.

2100 euros for an M4 ? thats like 4500 bucks CAD...

you know what.. that's probably cuz its got all the whistles or something...

when TSE got the Oberland lowers, they priced quite compeitively, and they had that cool Stainless steel lower parts kit as an option

still pretty expensive...

notice the second line where it says '...and you're European", that's mostly but not totally true, if you want a US AR-15, and you're not a cop/mil, and you're Italian, yes, you're SOL.

Canada isn't Europe.

Anyone know a place (other then Dlask) that can sell a left-emptying AR-180B (or at least the parts to change over a standard AR-180B)? I'm talking shells and gas to the left side.

As long as things don't change, I'll likely pick that up as my "first".

BTW, expect a "dam I broke it" thread within a week of me acquiring it.

I know where you can get a left-emptying AR-15.

plug plug plug

The guy is dead wrong.

US DoS controls exports - not DoD. While DoS will no longer aprove SBR;s for export (they dont consider them sporting) they will still allow AR lowers, uppers, barrels 16" or long and subcomponent parts to be exported.

DoS has reduced the number of counties on the 'good guy' list for commercial (non-specific end user export license) AR exports. Canada remains on that list. A large number of Euro countries no longer are. I understand that list is down to Canada and one or more of the Scandanavian countries.

I don't know about the situation for other continents.

I believe the posters concerns, for Italy, are correct. (Actually, I know that Italy is off the list).

True on both counts, of course. Poor choice of words in my above post. (not DOD doing export licenses / not related to DOD procurement req's).

I think this guys exporter just got his license apps declined. The rest is his own (incorrect) speculation.
