Not really as I had one particular scope fail three times and was denied. I will never purchase another product regardless of their warranty. I would prefer a superior brand which costs more and a limited warranty then a lifetime of junk.
Yes correct. A quote from the Leupold website: "Leupold uses foreign sourced components for some parts of Golden Ring products, primarily lenses." The key words are components as in plural as in more than one part/piece and the word primarily, as in they primarily source lenses from offshore but they also outsource other components. Seeing as Leupold won't disclose which country in the continent of Asia they source their lenses from, it would be a safe bet that it is either China or the Philippines. If Leupold sourced their glass from a reputable European source like Schott they would proudly say so. If Leupold sourced their lenses from Japan they again would proudly say so. Their lack of pride/bragging means they source them from a country with a reputation for sub standard junk, like China and the Philippines.

Meh, think what you want....
I'd take a toliet paper roll with coke bottle lenses, that was glued together with Afghani goat crap if it held up/worked as well as my 30+ Leupolds have.
Multiple returns, crushed tubes, canted reticles...... you guys can have your Vortex.

or they could source lenses from several different countries, including japan..... maybe european. why should they list the country of manufacture for every piece ? they are assembled in the usa in a certified iso9001 plant with the highest quality control measures available. except for the new gen2 razor lineup IMHO vortex is crap.
