No mosin ammo anywhere

Hi i looked through the post and have not found any info.

I live in winnipeg and have a old m44 mosin nagant. there are really only 2 hunting stores here. first i went to cabelas to try and buy some hunting rounds for 7.62x54 and they told me they cant help me not even fmj i cant buy any 7.62x54 i asked if they can order me some and got no help . then i went to wholesale sports and they told me the same thing . is there any where i can order hunting ammo for my mosin?

There are two places I can suggest

1. Look around for any gun store that sells PRVI PARTISAN rounds, they manufacture some decent hunting loads for reasonable pricing in the 54R.

2. Call Shooter's Den in Sudbury, Ontario. They have the Czech 1980's military FMJ corrosive berdan primed, laquered cases by the bag of 50 round for 30 bucks or and entire case (760) for 280.

stock up as much as you can when you see it

Milarm in Edmonton has Prvi Partizan 150gr soft point for 26.00 / 20 box.

Tradeex carries Prvi brass but @ $60.00/100 and figgure $30.00 ish/100 for 0.311 FMJ bullets... it's cheaper to buy the factory loads and reuse the brass.

Google Cabela's, they had a deal on their cheapie reloading set in the catalog. Also a good source for powder and primers.

if your going to reload give Mystic (normaly found in precision rifles) a shout, he has PPU brass
