No nazi auction

I went to the Canada War Museum with my son last summer. On exhibit was Hitler's car. It was not there celebrating Nazism it was there celebrating our victory over Nazism. A veteran bringing a helmet or whatever trophy home he is not celebrating the values of the Nazi he is celebrating our victory over the Nazis.

Interesting. I have an Israeli 7.62 Mauser with non-peened eagles/swastikas. How would they like address that?

"They"? Most Jewish firearms owners I know either have - or are searching for - "Israeli Mausers"....

As George C. Scott said in one of his last acting roles: it's not the chariot, it's the charioteer.... :canadaFlag:

For my own part, I've shown a bunch to vets of pre-1948 and post-1948 service, and to a man there only positive reminiscing (and winks over the struck over/through German markings).... :yingyang:

And I think a rifle with intact German & Israeli markings would be very significant to own, indeed (I've personally looked for one for quite some time).

I would like someone to explain why urban jews and black demographics support democrats in the states. They are the party of the KKK, and now Antifa. Look up Robert Bird's mentorship of Hillary Clinton.

Closer to home. I wonder how many on this board don't know how many times they dressed up in blackface. Yet we are deplorables.

Think on this ....

all those Nazi Waffenamt marked 7.62mm Walthers, etc. are now "prohibited". In other words, the souvenir guns taken from a conquered totalitarian regime are now prohibited by another totalitarian regime purporting to be a democracy.

Makes perfect sense, don't it?

To the victors belong the spoils (aka trophies, among other things).

Almost as if those that lived through the Shoah had thicker skin. :yingyang:

Yep, and the Israelis weren't the least bit shy about using ME 109's to fight for their homeland in 1948.
The Avia S-199 wasn't a Bf 109 per say; it was a post-war Czech built Bf 109 with an awful engine. That said, the Israelis did use anything they could get their hands on. If you want a real trip, look up Lehi/Stern Gang...

These people are never offended by communist milsurp despite the commies having killed 10 times more people than the nazis
Really makes you think

Andrew Scheer & Co. just ran on the sentiment that Supply Management "wasn't REAL socialism"; there's much that needs to be said about even "conservative" people's inability to recognize the scourge that is socialism.... :canadaFlag:

It was a concerted effort between Jaz Johal and the guy from the Jewish community to get the items pulled.
Mr. Johal is a BC Liberal or aka Red Tory.
They gave the Auction house three days to pull the items or they would go the media route and they did it anyways (media shaming after the auction house relented and pulled the items).

so the end game was a media campaign. it was all lined up and ready to go before it got started.

I've a Waffenampt'd piece or two...I've not done any sketchy stuff lately.
But, to 'poke the bear'...there has to be a point at which your Nazi Memorabilia quest is too far, but where is that point? We say there isn't, but there has to be a 'Too Far' point... a real SS Ring adorning your mitt? A flag in your man cave... two flags ( for balance no doubt...Feng shui )?
The Evil Empire has a draw for some...protest all you want, they are out there...people that embrace it a little too much.
Flame away...but most here have met 'That Guy' who is a little too enthusiastic about such things. They remind me of the married acquaintance who still acts single after 6 drinks..."Um, dude...maybe just, um...don't, K?"
Shouldn't be able to stop the auction, but it's a touchy subject for public discussion.
