Yeah an optic like that will work fine. Just don't expect it to be a tough high grade red dot. It's junk but it will work good enough for a .22 and hold zero. Like I said, I've got a Barska red dot sitting atop my 10/22 and it runs well.

This will work fine for a Mossberg 715T. This optic is not made by Barska. Do a search on Google for reflex sight and click on images. Tons of these out there with a different name on it. Browning, Sightmark, Center Point, TruGlo etc. Not sure why everyone is recommending a better optic, this will work fine for what the OP is trying to do to accessorize his 715T.

Don't be shy about spending a little money ....good quality will pay for itself in use or at resale. Crap will break and need replacing. Try to imagine what you want to do with the gun you've got....and what you are going to do with the next gun (AR?). Buy what you might want for the AR and use the current gun as a testing/training platform for the equipment you chose. If you don't like something...sell it with the gun. If you like it...keep it for the AR?!
