No percussion caps anywhere?

Just went to my local dollar store- got a pile of plastic caps, and they had a ton of the German made roll caps. Going to try them in my tap-o-caps. They had more than i was willing to buy.

They work on my .50 and ,32 squirrel. Going to have to get to the dollar store and clean them out.

I did not, but i have a theory that the plastic will not protect the nipples as well as the metal caps, but i could be wrong.

I bought some for a rainy day a few years back, but have not tried it yet..... looks like rain is in the forecast....

I was in Canadian Tire today in the hope there would be one lonely tin of #11 percussion caps that somehow got missed by others (ya, right). What I did see were at least 20 tins of musket caps hanging on pegs in two different locations. Too big for a #11 nipple but.....I had a look on Track Of The Wolf website and they have musket nipples in stock that fit my BP rifle. $7.99 but the kicker is the ridiculously high shipping cost of $39.00 making one little nipple $46.99 USD! Geebus, couldn't they just toss it in a letter envelope and stick a stamp on it? I'm going to email them and find out. I'm not out of #11 caps yet but I have cut back on shooting my BP.

Wow I'm shocked... there's a few of us around here that would have cleaned you right out! Maybe as a courtesy to others, got a few up front and then returned at the end of the day, THEN cleaned ya out!

I rarely see anyone shooting blackpowder at our club..... there is a demand it just didn't walk past your table and is way out numbered by the smokeless folk.
