I know there are Savage distributer special runs that our retailer got. Laminated stock, stainless, metal detachable mag. Was tempted to buy one just cause they looked awesome. Also a few years ago I think there was the savage model 14, also a special run, that had a beautiful walnut stock and the rest stainless. There are a few on the EE right now. Oh mind you, I just saw your buddy was asking for 30-06, forget what the ones in the EE were
Edit: checked, the one I had in mind were 308 win and 300 win mag.

Remember... detachable mag was one of the requirements. No plastic I assume means trigger guard/bottom metal as well.
