Hey everyone, just thought you'd like to know. I went to SAIL in burlington today and was surprised to find that if you buy ANYTHING hunting related, you don't have to pay the HST!! (as long as it's not on sale already). I bought some targets and a friend bought some gun oil and this applied to both.

Rifles, shotguns, ammo, clothing, etc.

Doubt guns are tax free. Never have. If you hear their commercials it indicates gun and ammo are not tax free. Only when they open a new store are tax removed. Still great deals.

Everything in store in at regular price is on sale with no tax excluding Canada Goose items, crossbows and ammunition but firearms are covered!!!
I bought 3 rifles during NO TAX sales in the last 2 years at SAIL and Le Baron!

They still have to submit Taxes to the Revenuers in Ottawa.

I think we all know there is no such thing as "tax free"
They just lower the normal price to an equivalent amount of what would equal not paying the tax

example:
$100 x 1.13 = $113, so this item would now be $88.5 x 1.13 = $100 final price
 
Yup, ammo and such not included, I got the email and was all excited until I read the fine print :(
 
Does anyone know if they ship? I talked to a guy from sail today at the Vaughan store and he said I would have to ask Laval to see if they would ship a rifle to me. Then I call them and don't get any answer. Customer service!
He told me the Vaughan didn't ship product out.
It sucks because I wanted to buy a tikka t3 in 270 win and they only had one in stock.
