No-work-co 780 homeland

Does anyone make a pistol grip stock for these guns? I ripped mine apart tonight and did some deburring but mostly just polishing. Still nowhere near as smooth as my 870 which until I got this thing I would never have described as smooth. I can do that cool Hollywood single handed rack thing with it though! lol

You mean something like this?

This is the SpeedFeed stock for the 870. It fit perfectly, but I had to re-thread the mounting bolt to match the 780. I liked the factory pump handle more than the SpeedFeed one, so i milled a little of it off to clear the side saddle.

I just received mine, they weren't kidding when they say rough; mine cycles like it's full of sand. Not a big deal, I plan on blowing it up when it starts having problems; I've always wondered what 100gr of HS-6 would do to a shotgun... ;)

yep the stock look the same as the 870. i have the forend on now fits perfict and i am going to get a rear stock if .i find one at a gun show cheap enough. heres a pic.

The stock was the only thing that was decent on the one I had, I'd leave it. :D

You mean something like this?
Sort of.;) The grip is awfully far back from the trigger isn't it?

My wood 870 stock fits but like others have said the thread is different. My knox stock doesn't fit. If I made it fit the grip would be way too far from the trigger.

As for how the gun runs, well I'm one of the lucky ones. I took mine straight out of the box to the range and it ran great. Then I stripped it and deburred a few parts, mostly the rails on the pump. Then I used half a tub of polishing compound and several polishing wheels with my dremel. I polished ever moving part inside and out including the magazine tube and the pump itself. I have the flexible attachment for my dremel and the polishing wheels I use fit inside the pump tube perfectly so I polished as well. I also deburred the front and back edge of the tube.

I put it all back together swimming in ballistol and then today my slip stream came in so I tripped AGAIN (keep in mind I only received the gun yesterday and still found time to go to work and practice archery for 3hrs) literally drowned the gun in slip stream grease and then took it out and fired a box and a half of shells through it as fast as I could to get her nice and hot to let the strip stream work it's ball bearing magic.

So far I've put two boxes of shells through it and I've had one stove pipe but that's cause I pump like a girl. Wait...

So for $90 I'm pumped! Wait...:ban:

Cheers,
Trevor

im not soo interested in if the stock and forend will fit off a 870, i want to know if the barrel off this will fit on a 870, what about the trigger group...has anyone tried swapping them? what about the rest of the internals??
probably not but i want to know for sure.

i should have bought 1 when i first saw them for sale.

Barrels, definite no. Trigger group, maybe?
There's a thread over in SFRC's area discussing this. With any luck we'll find out about the trigger group soon.

and I have hands like a muppet...
I love it! lol So where did you get it?

Since I ran 40 rounds through both my 780 and my 870 yesterday to work in the Slip Stream treatment I have to clean them both up so I'll answer the trigger group question before the end of the night.

It does fit on the 870 but the lug lines up over the threads on the magazine tube. Not sure on the bolts, never tried them. The 870 tiger is a bit slack in the 780 but the pins line up and it works.

In the picture it certainly looks like it, but in use it isn't... and I have hands like a muppet...

That pic of you is epic! You look just like this Muppet named Animal :D
I just got home from a meeting and my wife had a present waiting for me... My 2 780's and 500 rounds of M855 X TAC from SFRC. Soon as I'm done reading this thread I'll open 'em up and have a looky :D

For those of you trying to get these to cycle, please note that I had one that would discharge without touching the trigger. Just cycle the action and sometimes it would go BANG. So be careful that you do not hurt yourselves or a loved one

Thanks safety sam....

Why are you pointing a gun at a loved one or yourselves anyways? Treat all guns as if they are loaded. ALWAYS point in a safe direction.... and done!

But seriousely... Thanks for the reminder it can never be said enough times.

what are these folks cycling and where are they cycling it. It is 30 below out at the range Now not everyone has a 12 gauge snap cap.

i did not get hurt I cycled mine with the barrel pointed down rang. Make fun of me if you need to.

I have some insight in how many otherwise prudent folk behave. The get there new gun check for barrel obstruction. clear they load and shoot.

f**k it wont cycle, it is 20 below and I am freezing my hands here working on it. Ill take it home call lymans for some azoom snapcaps. That will take a few weeks. Try spent casing, well those do not work at the best of time.

Then there is box of live target shot. I will put it on safe and try to cycle it. It will be safe with the safety on.

Make fun of me if you like, however I have owned hundreds of firearms this the only one that would fire without touching the trigger
