the receiver is cut for a safety and the bottom stock is cut for vollysights but the but stock had a section spliced in that has a cut out for the safety. any idea? war time thing or later?

I think it all looks normal from my phone. Splitting did occur at times around the butt socket and this ones been repaired.
The finish almost looks parkerised and the safety spring is a much later Lithgow make. The photos are crap though and it's too hard to tell anything for certain. A correct restoration with all the correctly marked parts of an early Lithgow like this is very hard these days but 1915 actions are a little hard to find. Not my cup of tea though. How much is it?
