No4 mk1 T

Now - any ideas how much an all matching No4T 1943 Longbranch - canadian marked, with scope and (now) repro case would be worth? My estimate is about $3500 but I know that a Canuck collector would bid this up quickly! (no, it's not mine - I couldnt afford something that beautiful - but I have shot it and know who has it)

Depends on what scope along with other variables, but $3500 would be on the very low side of the equation. I would suspect you would be in the $5-7K range, although the repro chest hurts it a bit.

For comparison with lots of details on it's heritage and to view a 130 picture photo montage of a sister rifle made in 1944, that saw actual service with "4 Commando" in WW11, check the England - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here) http://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12 for this entry:

1944 Enfield No.4 Mk1(T) Sniper Rifle (click here)
(Mfg by BSA Shirley - M47c)
c/w matching Model No.32 Mk.3 Scope (Mfg by Taylor-Hobson & Co.)

I would guess all matched and "all correct" versions such as the one in the MKL, plus complete with transit chest and matching scope can, the value is somewhere north of $5,000 Cdn (maybe a lot more) depending upon the time of year and Canadian market demand. It might even go higher at auction (with a great photo spread), as I haven't seen very many good quality examples of these advertised lately.

Hope this helps... :)
