No4 mk1*,wood

Will No4mk2 wood fit a no4mk1*? I have a sporterized no4mk1*Savage in good shape except for the stock,and I would like to put a full wood stock back on,what other parts will I need? Thanks.

I went through the same thing last year. I bought the barrel bands from Numrichs but had to source the three screws from a collector. They are a real oddball size, something about BA threads.

Oh, I forgot to mention I got my full stock from Epps. Give them a call or check their website. I think it was about $130. I don't know if that was a good price or not, I just wanted the problem solved.

Hi. How long is the existing barrel? If it was cut, no military stock will fit. Should be 25".
Check the headspace before you spend any money too.

seems to me like a good deal,these goes around 200$ from what i've seen.

It is a full length barrel,has a good bore and is in good condition overall except in need of a god cleaning and a proper stock.
