So when I was a young fella, back in 2000/2001 i bought a Lee Enfield No.4 MkII that was still packed in the grease. I don't really know what it is but, if I recall, it's a 1955 packistani arsenal unit.... but honestly I don't know. Hopefully someone here could shed some light on this for me.

Ultimately, I have left Kommunist Kanada and, although I would love to keep this treasure, I can't bring it with me and I need to sell it. I don't want to but this is life.

Anyone have any idea what it might be worth? It's in excelent condition, I maybe put 4 boxes of shells through it and all the numbers are matching. The goo on the bayonette is the original cosmoline that's still living in the scabbard.

I don't have a clue what it's worth anymore, but “UF” became the Fazakerley serial number prefix after they switched over from" PF" in 1954. it was made at ROF Fazakerley. (The Royal Ordnance Factory in Fazakerley, England.)

I'd buy if off of you, but you could get a lot more for it than I'm willing to spend.

FWIW, a really nice guy sold me a 1950 Long Branch in fantastic shape for $300 back in 2006.

IIRC, At the time, mint Fazakerley's and 1950 Long Branch's were going for $500 to $600.

They're both probably at least double that now.

If you are looking to sell it, pm me.

Wherever you moved, I hope you are liking the new location :)

Maybe we can trade for another nissan van hahaha.

Thanks for the info. For all these years I thought it was Pakistani (i guess someone told me that once upon a time). Being english makes it a little more special.

Sure, I just gotta go boost a Nissan van. BRB!

An American Lee Enfield collector told me years ago that he liked the Fazakerley No.4 MK 2's the best of them all.

I've wanted one for a long time, but they are too expensive now.

FWIW, I'd hang onto it if I was you.

Do you have a relative or friend that you can store it with?

Haha ok.

Sounds like Claven2 is buying it.

I am 100% invested in my life in Mexico. I could leave it with my friend who has it now but I will never go back to Kanada and what's the point in holding onto it for another 20 years so it goes up in value by another $1000? A bird in the hand, my friend.

Fair enough, I hope that Claven enjoys it!

I suppose that you really are a Tequila Worm now!

Didn't I warn you that if you ran off to be a mercenary in Mexico you'd end up in the bottom of a Mezcal bottle? Didn't I?

Worth more than that
If you actually have cash in hand to buy it, contact Wally, I'm OK if he changes his mind to sell to someone else. I'm not out to fleece anyone, but an actual cash offer talks, the rest is just speculation.

I think a lot of people look at auction results and forget about buyer/seller premiums and tax - just saying.

Ha! I don't remember that warning. That said, I can't do Tequila. I have official sworn off it for good.

I bought a matching one (including bayonet) in rougher external condition because it had been issued. Mine was about $850 all in and I felt comfortable paying that. A nice clean unwrapped example like yours should go for a bit more. There are guys asking $2500 and up for mummy wrapped rifles which is absurd.

Here’s mine. It shoots well at 500yds.

Michael had his hooks into a nice No. 4 Mk I out of Mexico City but that was only because I had a nice No. 1 Mk. III* and was already loading for it. When I left Mexico, I sold mine and he backed off of the sale. If you still are interested, check with him to see if it's still available and out there. All the .303 loading gear is in the loading room at George's since the guy I sold it to was too much of a "spiffy" to consider reloading. He's gone now anyway and that No. 1 has been sold again.

I still have my Model 94 30-30 from 1912 at Allan's -- I think you saw it. That's probably better for ranch/home defense than the Lee Enfield. I believe you already have a rifle 24-inch version of one of those, mine was the 20-inch carbine version. Either works. I believe Don Alejo used the 24-inch version in his Cartel battle. He got killed, but technically he won the battle.

Better yet for Mexican ranch-home defense; an AR-type rifle in 300 Blackout with a full-auto receiver, bolt, and trigger group with a suppressor, backed up by a couple of Silenced Stens for the family who choose not to sit things out. Totally illegal in Canada (hanging offense I'm sure) but totally doable on rural property in Mexico and nobody is even going to hear you practicing anyway. Just don't take out Facebook Posts showing whatcha got.

Plans to shelve until I get back there, obviously.
