Hi guys - thought I would share my newest treasure. Thanks to Rick here at CGN my Blonde has a new carry case in his repro Transit Box.:D

The box is beautifully made to say the least. Amazingly clean lines and screws are perfect. Leather carry handles and straps hold to the authentic design

Rifle sitting inside the box - block tabs with soft padding keep her snug. Ropes keep blocks attached so a Duff like me wont leave them behind.

Instruction sheet inside is laminated and authentic to the original instructions

Close up of the hinges - where in tarnations did he get these beauties! Work just like the originals.

I still need to get a repro scope mount and scope to complete the set.

Any leads?

What is a box like that worth (less pretty blonde, of course: she's yours!)?

For something that nice, there just has to be a market.
 
Thank you for the kind words and compliments about the transit box Dr Ozzy, glad to know you are happy with it. Guess the gig is up, and I will start to advertise these boxes on the EE and maybe quit my day job?. The hinge and hasp sets I use are original and were salvaged from no 7 boxes which I got from a fellow CGN.
I am also working on blueprints for the L 42 transit box and will start building those too. Anyone out there happen to have a copy of those blueprints?
