What are the proper bayonet, sling , and carry case for the jungle carbine? And where can you get them? I dont mind reproductions as long as they are well made. Are there any other accesories issued with these rifles? Thanks.

Jungle Carbine bayonets are expensive. Have a look on ebay. They're rarely seen at gun shows. There are some repros sold in the US, but not as nice as originals.

Carry case? Hmmm...perhaps the Enfield web rifle case, although not sure if there's a specific one for the JC.

Slings- standard Enfield web slings, often seen with a green version.

I received a web case with mine that is No5 sized, though I don't know if it was purpose made that size or just a re-worked No4 case. If it was re-worked they did a damn good job matching all of the seams up at the end.

I had a 1944 marked case that no matter how hard I tried, I could not fit a No4 into it. A No5, on the other hand, fit like a glove. It was more green than tan and I always thought it was purpose built for the JC.

I wonder if Bdl ltd wouldn't happen to have some original bayos cheaper than Ebay.

So far all I can find is strippers and slings at marstar. Those sure are nice bayonets, are they a standard lee enfield bayo's with a larger hole to fit over the flash suppressor? or are they totally different? I'm kinda new to lee enfields and am very grateful for your assistance. Thanks

The way I heard it, the bayonet for the No5 (and the reason it's so scarce) is the same as the bayonet for the Sterling (L2A3) SMG. When the Sterling was taken out of service in Britain the unit armourers had to return the bayonet with the SMG, or the unit was charged new cost for the missing part. This led to lots of the 'surplus' No5 bayonets being re-purchased by unit armourers as they were cheaper than the official cost. This drove the supply down and the cost up. I don't know if that's true, but it seems plausible.

BDL is Brian #### Ltd, you can search for him on Google. Marstar won't have a no 5 bayonet. The normal cost for a No 5 bayonet will run around $200 to $300. There are no cheap authentic bayonets for them only cheap repros.

They are a totally different bayonet, that only fits the JC and the British Sterling SMG.
Best bet- surf ebay for one, or look at gun shows.

Or buy a Jungle Carbine that has one with it...;)

Does anyone know of a dealer in Canada that would carry surplus lee enfield accessories? I was also wondering what cleaning kit was issued with these carbines and how was it carried sense there was no butt stock storage? Thanks for all your input .
