Non coroosive 7.62 x 39

I would buy norinco non-corrosive if it was available, but it ain't. Basically for cheap 7.62x39 we're stuck with corrosive for now, unless you can get an export permit from the US and get some wolf.

But you're right. I am lazy too. I would much rather not have to clean my guns as often. Between my aR (which needs more regular maintence) and the corrosive ammo for my 858, I spend alot of time cleaning, but at least I know my guns work and are accurate enough to hit what I want them to.

Yes its sick what our dealers are doing to us dumping all this corrosive 3rd world ammunition on us. Atleast eventually the Czech will run out, and they will have to move onto something else.

My rifle is a Chinese SKS with threaded barrel , I got it about 4-5 years ago .
The second rifle is a newer SKS with pinned barrel .
The rifles are cleaned and operate perfectly with Norinco ammo .
I have saved about 500 rounds of the stuff , half in the silver box and half in the green and white boxes ( ugly soft point ) .
First crate of surplus on stripper clips came from Marstar . At first I thought it was the gun , changed all kind of parts to no avail .
The gun would chamber a round , I would fire the gun , the gun goes " click " . examining the round it shows the primer has been hit hard but no fire . Rechamber it and pull the trigger again , " bang " , everytime .
Second crate looked like first crate but from a much closer supplier ( not Lever ) same problem .
I'm so concerned that I'll be buying dud's I don't trust anyone selling eastern block ammo anymore .
I've even considered selling the rifle over this .
My M305 is already here .

Wow, I've never heard of that. I had an SKS and it would run like a top on czech stuff. My cz runs like a top on it too. Maybe your firing pin isn't hitting it hard enough, but I dunno what would cause that.

My firing pins are leaving a deep punch - same as most rifles .
I'll take my camera next time I go to the range with it .
I'll post it so you can see .
I tell you , it ain't the gun .

Have same problem with Marstar on stripper clips 80% failure on first time with deep hit on primer always fires thde second time had much better luck
if I left them in the sun for awhile

I have bought 2 crates from Marstar so far. I am waiting to receive my third. I have not experienced anything like what you guys are describing. Yes I do have some that fail but closer to a handful from each crate.

SCARECROW;
Well now the dealers are sick for dumping the Czech ammo on you....You would prefer nothing ?
This is a new one, I have never been accused on dumping....
Please offer alternatives, tell us what is available, what can be imported, etc, etc We WILL bring it in....

Some of the above ammunition companies might need to be approved for import, but should be excellent. Maybe you could tell us why you havent imported in anymore Norinco ammo. I was under the impression they where still making it.

With those 2 manufacturers contact Armrus for an update. They have been trying to import from them for a while but I am not sure what has happened.

I am good friends with the owner of Armrus. He said no ammo will be imported by him. Too many hassles with customs and such. As much as I try to bug him into trying to get it, I think he has fully given up that idea.

However if John wants someone who would be excellent at helping him deal with the russians, I am sure Valeri (owner of ArmRus) could help. I am sure Armrus would love to stock the ammo aswell.

I remember once Valerie telling me that they tried gettting Marstar to carry their products. It looks like it did not work. I doubt they will be able to cooperate.

JWILLMORE;
It's no problem for us t deal in Eastern Europe, we have been there since 1984, long before the wall came down, I have made in excess of 100 trips to that part of the world....

Buying the ammunition is NOT the problem, getting it approved in Ottawa IS the problem....

We have been working for over a year to get a new line of ammo approved, we are not even close....

Ove the years we have tried to bring you .30M1 car, .30-06, .303, 8mm Mauser just to name a few, we end up selling it off in the USA....

BTW, Armrus wanting to sell us their company, not carry their products....

SCARECROW:
I am well aware of the various manufacturers, I have been in most of the factories at one time or another....

Most of the ones you mention are NOT approved for import....

As for Norinco with the shipping restrictions on ammunition coming from China the cost are outrageous.... I am certain you are not willing to pay almost the same price for Norinca as you would expect to pay for a "name brand"....

Unis Igman is approved, the shipping cost alone from that part of the world is 14,000 Euros (App $22,000. Cn $) per container or about $30./1,000
The selling price would have to be about double that of the Czech ammo

I am sure Ottawa is not making it easy on you to import your product. I am also sure that you are doing your best to grow your business and satisfy your growing customer base. Thank God for the US Market. I appreciate your presence in the market and all the efforts that you are involved in.

I am not sure how big of a market there is for non corrosive ammo but I am one that is willing to buy non corrosive even if it is more expensive than corrosive but not 2 the price. Some of my X39 are more collection items and I prefer to use non corrosive in them and have been buying the federal for them. Others I do not mind corrosive I just hate to clean them afterwords.

May be it is time to start making non corrosive ammo locally now here is a business idea. Is anyone interested to start a new business???

Just out of curiosity then, why is it so cheap to get Czech surplus over here then. We aren't exactly neighbours with them, it's not a short trip from here to there.

Question for John:
Why wasn't the ammo approved? I know it's hard to get ammo approved by the feds, but why would they shoot down 8mm surplus?? Just curious.

Corrosive ammo is a government plot to get rid of guns by having them all rust away.
