Non Corrosive 7.62x39mm Found

Unfortunately, the SA surplus is Berdan primed. Unless it is PMP headstamped, but that would be in MP commercial boxes. The military numbered cases are Berdan.

It's 7.62x39mm, PSP 123gr.

I really wanna see how the brass holds up, cause it looks like good stuff, so I'll hold onto it so I can reload it when I get that stuff down the road.
Are you going to use it for deer hunting?
Heres a "Federal" 7.62x39 I used to get my first buck with my Sks.
I can't remember if it was 123 gr. or 139gr. (19 yrs ago)
But I do remember the bullet punched right through the deers body without much expansion. However the innards were tore up.

Bought a few boxes of Igman 123 grain SP in anticipation of a Russian SKS today for $14.99, it seemed like a good deal since I am almost out of Remington SP. Woulda hoarded some had I known what was comin.

I've used the Prvi Partisan nny headstamped ammo in my M1 carbine and liked it. Had some misfires though. I don't think Remington ammo ever did that.

Ok, finally got around to getting some pictures of the brass.

Rick65Cat, no idea if I'll use it for deer. My brass goes into an old milkjug and will pile up there till I find use for it or sell it.

they make some nice ammo i have shoot they're .223 good stuff if the 7.62x39

haven't tryed reloading cause i don't have a loader yetconsidering it now cause my neighbor son has a .223 he said he's on the site

93 is non-corrosive
74 is corrosive, steel core

The boxed is lead core. Pull a bullet on the wrapped 93 and check for steel at the base.

So its safe to say that the 93 over 31 headstamped and wraped in brown paper is NON-Corrosive?
