"Non-corrosive" on for $300 for 1440 rds

Jeeze, (some of) you guys. Clear the sand out of your actions. Good Lord.

sTraTz: The fact that your handle may well be derived from the name of a famous gynecologist should be my first clue. I never posed any question "asking" about this ammo. In fact, I even put non-corrosive "in quotations" to suggest it is debatable. If you can't see why, I posted in the existing thread because the price drop brings it closer in line with corrosive prices (if you factor shipping). I write that it's much dirtier and warn the reader to be mindful. I started a new thread for those other board members who might not have the same free time as others to circle existing threads like vultures.

FLHTCUI: Rob, I'm not trying to "drub" up anything (despite how much they could use it, reading many posts here). Just passing it along so other cheap, fence-sitting b*stards like myself know their options. Had I been trying, I would have included the retailer's name in the header and attached a (non-hot) link.

Umm why do you want to start bashing my username now? You have no clue where it comes from, just pathetic.
Its already been established that it is in fact corrosive, why bother leading people on that it may be otherwise on a separate thread? If you didn't want to lead any of "those other board members" on why not just say that it is corrosive as stated in another thread? If your a "cheap, fence-sitting b*stards" then you should know that other retailers are selling this same ammo marked as corrosive for a lot less.

Reliable is $280. Henry (love that guy) has it for $262 (plus ship unless you want to drive all the way out there if you live in Vancouver). Rusty has it for $270 in Mission (again, if one from Vancouver feels like the journey to save $30). If $20 is "a lot less" to you, I am sorry for being so misleading. I live roughly between Lever and Reliable so the $20 is enough for me to point the Cheap-O-Meter to Reliable.

Now I know what Satain felt like.

p.s. you're
p.p.s. I'm only one b*stard - it just feels like more...

270 shipped if you look around...went up from 220 recently
Oh sorry, didn't realize I was submitting a formal report to you.

sTraTz, the OP was quoting me and as your user name was in my quote is likely why you where dragged into this thread.
Sorry for getting you riled up and I have corrected the error of my ways.
as for the cheapoes who dont like to spend more than they can afford , use Windex and lots of it with a hot water batch after to clean your super expensive sks's.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Is it marked Ministry of the Interior? Also with 01/05 somewhere? If so, should be boxed, copper-washed, steel-core, non-corrosive.

I recently opened a can and that's what was in it.

Yes, I just opened it, in 20 round cardboard boxes.

As a side what about the chinese stuff wrapped in paper, I am guess that is corrosive.

lever just sent me this:
There is a misconception on what corrosive ammo is and is not. Contrary to what people on CGN say, the ammunition we sell is free of the corrosive salts in the primers. The ammo is dirty and will require cleaning after use. China changed from corrosive primers in 1971 and our ammunition was produced in 1972 or newer. We have had the primers tested and they are non-corrosive.

catapult, Thank you...
I stand corrected on my thoughts on if it is or if it isnt corrosive ammo.
I have no axe to grind with Levers as I have spent several thousand dollars there over the years.
When I had the R-pal endorsement on my lic.
It is worth while for consumers to use do diligence when buying ammo and other consumer goods.
Thanks for passing on the info.

So 72 marked Chinese wrapped in paper is non-corrosive?

Lever sent me that response too. That doesn't explain how guys CZ858's are rusting after shooting the stuff though.

Sure it does. They're lying.

They are the only folks on the planet who say that the Chinese went to NC primers that early. The Americans will laugh if you post a thread asking if it's NC.

There's only so many times we can go round and round on this BS question. Good luck to anyone who buys it. Don't clean your rifle and let us know the results.
