Non-hunter gains respect for sport (winnipeg free press)

Ok.. Let’s say when I started working at my job. (computer/satellite t.v shop) When I told them that I was a hunter and wanted 3-5 weeks a year off for my sport. I came real close to losing my job. With them saying “how could I kill something”. But now after working there for 4 years. I can say I “changed them” now there more then willing to let me go. (but I have to remember to bring in some deer meat for them for lunch. and bring in some for them to take home.)

Now out of no where one day I go to work and some one asked me did I read the paper today. I told them no. then she showed me the article that she wrote.

I had a female friend down Toronto way, a fancy-dressed Liberal animal-lover who thought guns the devil's tools. Then she married a nice guy from French River and now she is a confirmed hunter and pretty sharp shooter.

i know this is a old post BUT i did it. i talked my my vegetarian friend into hunting this year. (deer) but think the tigger will be pulled? well we will see.

i am off work till the end of this month so lots of time to hunt this year!

good stuff starpuss. If every hunter or shooter could introduce just one person to hunting or sport shooting a year, we would be much better off.
