Non-Restricted ACR - Barrels - Start of Aug Update.

If anyone else is thinking about cancelling their order I would be interested in paying you out your original purchase price and taking over the preorder.

Send me a message with price and barrel /trigger options you have selected. I don't mind waiting a few weeks/months.

..... If I ran the company I would throw in another mag at the very least. Even if I get my rifle in the next two weeks I will think twice about buying from them again. As we all know it's how company's resolve problems where good or bad reps come from.

I've been on this go-around a few times over the years with various stores. It will be no different anywhere else when it comes to special one-off orders. These are small drops in the bucket to the manufacturers and that's what retailer shoppers have a hard time understanding. Would this sort of thing be acceptable in another type of market? Most likely not but when it comes to firearms it seems to be the nature of the beast. The delays are not being caused by AE and they are only passing along the info passed to them. It is possible there is some confusion among the AE employees with timelines: that AE will have to rectify so no contradicting info gets passed to different customers.

I know a member who was showing me how he got "almost" as good a deal but still waited several months and now he is too rebarreling to NR which is costing him more again. His great deal is almost $800 more USD that ours all-in. I don't know about you but if I am saving $800USD on a purchase I don't mind the wait. I realize it sucks to have to wait and the delays make it even more frustrating but if it were not for orders like these from companies such as AE and others we would be paying more with only slightly improved wait times.

Just my $0.02

agreed, the only mistake AE is making is when people call in as i did and are told they are shipping monday on a friday three weeks ago it creates very bad perception. All they need to do is update this once a week and its much easier than telling people to call in and especially when they are not coordinated on what is being told to people. I dont get why they make it harder on themselves and us and create frustration that could so easily be avoided!

Im not a supplier, but I know how long it takes to get barrels (1 barrel)
So they should have an idea how long it takes to get a #### load of them.
I waited 16 weeks for one. they said 4-6 weeks after early july, I ordered in may.
It is almost september. This is unacceptable for a preorder. All they are doing is setting a bad precedent
For you to accept In the future.

Any barrel company will tell you they are backed up big time, especially for a big order.
The reality is summer is pretty much over and people dropped big money and are pissed off
And have every right to be.

Its depressing

Hmmm, i was dissapointed when i missed this deal...bought a restricted ACR with both forends and handguards for 2k just after and a rebarrel job is gonna run around 650. Happy i went that way now. Hopefully everyone gets theirs to enjoy before the snow falls!

That's exactly it, we all know it's NOT ARMS-EAST causing the delay but the problem is they best around the bush and tell us too many different things (it will be 4-6weeks from purchase, they are redoing the barrels, they are in the mail, they should be here within the week)

Just flat out tell is the barrel mfr is behind schedule and you are doing everything in your power to push it along. Don't blow smoke up my ass and tell me the rifle is on its way when an hour later you say they are still awaiting assembly.

I'm obviously annoyed with the delay(after being told it wouldn't be that long in the first place) but what actually pisses me off is everyone is getting a different answer. When I asked Liam if the rifles were assembled he dodged my question several times, just answering by telling me it's the postmans problem now and should be here early September and it's the border crossing that is taking time.

So don't effing tell me they are assembled and in transit then come on here and say the opposite. I understand that these things can get pushed back but don't friggin lie about it.

I am upset with the situation and I know that AE is doing their best to get it here as soon as possible considering their situation. I am not saying that its ok to give us the run around but let's not ruin the deal that all of us was able to get. At the end of the day, we will get it in our arms and hoping all the patience will be worth the wait. Especially for the Non-Restricted versions!

In return, I would ask AE if they can do something for us who waited patiently this long for maybe a special discount on accessories or something that will keep us happy and continue to do business in the future.

Cheers!
