It's still very dangerous, you can throw it at someone and hurt them. It should be immediately reclassified into a restricted.

Actually it's wishful thinking on my part. It is technically an AR-15 which is automatically restricted! But the tricky part is this - how do I put a trigger lock on it to disable it from being fired?

It's closer to dewat than ar. There's a real market for these though, in the states I've found a couple gun/cnc forums where these are popular. But their posts are so technical it makes my head spin.
