Non restricted beretta storm carbine -19"

Just a recyclable cardboard box. My mags scratched up my barrel too. I'm quite happy how well my little Bushnell TRS25 works.

I emailed Calgary shooting centre this morning and they still have no update as to when these are coming in.

So I dunno whats going on, but I'm kinda pissed, I like to give them my money cause they're always super quick responding to emails, but now I'm just jealous...

You pay more at some dealers, but not really because, you often recieved an extra mag and and extra rail, at the end, you gain, the real bargain is not in the money #, it is more in the value you get for your dollar... JP.... JP.

My $999 CX-4 from Flaherty's came with 2 mags, front tri-rail, 2 front side rails, mag loader, cleaning kit plus they threw in a nice free T-shirt. With tax & shipping included it worked out to be about $300 less than a rebarrelled restricted CX-4. Nice score.

Good deal... they just announced that the second batch will be more money.

I got mine at Flaherty's and could not be happier. I took it to my club's indoor range last night and ran 300 rds through it and not one malfunction. The carbine points very well and I found it quite accurate while off hand shooting.
On another note, is anyone else missing their "sight adjustment tool"? I can't find mine anywhere in the packaging. The rifle shoots a little low and I want to adjust the front post.

The sight adj. tool is in the side rail plastic bag with both side rails & screws.

Thanks for the quick range report. I hope to shoot mine ASAP!

Bought one yesterday at Ottawa Lebaron's. $950 plus tax (The province probably makes more on the sale than the store) They had 5 or 6. couldn't resist the price plus the fun factor:).

They are making money. These are about $200 less (retail price) in the US. If on sale, may be more. Don't think a new barrel makes that much difference in price, it is a factory run...

It's a special run made especially for Canada. Beretta Italy probably charges more per unit since its a low volume shipment. Beretta USA buys tons of those... Prices reflects that volume too.

With our weaker dollar I don't think that Lebaron's $975 special leaves a lot of markup for them...

My guess is that Stoeger is probably making more profit per unit than Lebaron.

By the way JohnC, was it $950 or $975 +tax? The special advertise price is or was $975 instead of the $1200 MSRP. It was also supposed to be a 2 days only special (dec. 17 & 18) but looks like they didn't sell their low inventory (they got 10 per store total) as they still sell them @ $975.

All I see on their website is $1,124.94 as the special price...

They had a "special 2 days only" on the 17th & 18th @ $975. Mind you that if you're a club Lebaron member ($25) you'll save 10% if its not a special priced item. $1124.94-10% witch comes down to $1012.45 not a bad deal at all!

Did Wolverine lose money on the Restricted CX4's they sold for $599? I don't know many successful businesses that sell things to take a loss. When anyone talks about markup I really don't believe that there isn't much markup in firearms (as some would say). It's there. $975 and Lebaron is probably making at least $100/rifle, as they bought in bulk and have a few stores. That's my guess.

As for the next batch being more expensive, well our CDN $ is on a slide, they'll be more expensive.

Is Wolverines sold it under cost, I really don't know. We could ask them and see. One things for sure "normal" profit margin for a dealer is somewhere around 15%-20% above cost and @ $599 Wolverines sold their units @ 33.3% under retail.

Don't forget that our restricted CX4's are the same identical units that Beretta USA imports from Italy. If the cost for them is already low, it will be low for Stoeger as well.

The 500mm non restricted version is a special version made for us and there is demand for such a rifle in Canada, nowhere else... Production cost is higher (because we're the only one requesting those barrel specs) so obviously retail price reflects that.

Concerning Lebaron buying bulk, those are very limited. Not a ton of them came in. Every store got 10 units, 4 stores total so 40 rifles. Stoeger would sell them anyway so I really don't think they offer special pricing weather a dealer buys 10 or 50...

Hats off to the guys at Lebaron! I went back and told them that I bought the gun a day before it went on sale...long story short, they gave me a credit in Lebaron GCs :)
Shyte! I just got one there 2 days ago and paid $1,149 "on special" ! Doubt that they will price adjust it for me :(

picked mine up at wholesale sports in Regina. An employee ordered it but his wife stopped the delivery. lol Price was 1069.00, but they offered it to me for 10% off if I took it right now, which I did. It came in the cardboard box with all the accessories listed in above post. Merry Xmas to me!
