Non Restricted black rifles (sticky?)

Sticky the post. There are people that do not understand the minutae that goes into the distinction between a "battle" rifle an "red" rifle and a "black/green" rifle. Is the FN a "black" or "battle" rifle? Some had wood stocks, some had black plastic. What about the ones that have been retrofitted from wood to synthetic? #####! Whatever will we do? Is it a question of caliber? The AR10 is a black rifle but the M14 is a battle rifle?

My point here is this: people that read this thread are looking for information about what non-restricted semi-auto rifles are available to the general public in Canada. Whether it fits into someone's personal colour-coded cubbyhole is irrelevant. Why not make an exhaustive information file of non-restricted black/green/blue/red/battle etc rifles and be done with it? It would be more useful that 9 pages of trash talk and Mini-14 love. Not that I don't like or respect the Mini - just everyone shut up about it already!

Just thought I'd promote the Mini-14 once again.
Its got an ATI Strikeforce folding stock as well as a couple of 40 and 30 rd. mags (pinned at 5 of course)

The mini-14 is a joke.

It isn't a black rifle and after the mods to make it semi-black, it ends up looking like hell.

Better off spending your money on a similarly priced CZ 858.

WHoa what? The m14 is discontinued? I clearly have been sleeping the last while. I'm glad I got one before Marstar stopped bringing them in. Good Thread.

How is the mini-14 a joke?
I picked up a CZ recently and it feels and looks like a joke. That plastic/marble wood? what ever the fuuck that is. The flattened alum. pop can mags are great to! they go well with the 14G sheet metal on top of the receiver.
Yet I can still appreciate it for what it is.
Some guys talk shiit about the mini yet I have no complaints. It is accurate enough for what it is, mine doesn't jam, it feels a hell of allot more solid than my CZ as well as being chambered for one of the most popular semi Rd's.
