Ok I've tried to do a search of non restricted black rifles and I can't fined it. I thought there was one done a while back. So my question is what are the option out there that won't brake the bank. lets say less then $2G's

look for an AR 180 B! people usually sell those for about a grand. or you could look hard and play some hardball to get a XCR for around $2000

Robinson Armament M96 or HK SL8 might be found for 2K or under on the EE.

Beretta Storm CX4 can be modified to non-restricted for under 2K.

Other than that, there are the Swiss Arms Black Special and Tavor - but both over 2K.

Definitely the way to go.

If you have $2000, this is what you can do with a 180b!

The thread really should be updated, now that we have stuff like FN FS2000's and PS90's coming in and getting rebarreled to non restricted.

Since type97a is out of the question. AR180b is your only option unless you can fork up a bit more you would be able to get a xcr.

Another vote for the AR180B. Here's mine:

However, since 180B's seem to be a little hard to come by, you could always tacticool-ize a Mini-14 with an ATI folder:

Or, if you're lucky enough to find a Ruger factory folder, you could give it that A-Team look, like I gave my mini:

I do like the Robinson XCR gun, but since I just finished my AR with a cost of around $2000. it's hard to build or buy another on my pay scale. I really do like the idea I could shoot the XCR for hunting. Don't get me wrong I love the AR it just sucks having a $2000 gun that is only good forthe shooting range. hence why I'm posting to see what the options are out there. It would be nice to use it for gophers & yotes.

There were also rumors flosting around saying that the Benelli MR1 will be a little under $2000 for a non-restricted, when they come in. Whether or not this will be true is still up in the air.

SKS and a can of black spray paint? Otherwise for something decent if you want to keep the costs down try buying used.

mmmmmmmmmm i wish i could afford something nice... but with 800 dollars i think il have to go with a cz 858, ive heard nothing but good about them!
