Well that was a short lived list but it would seem that our FREE nation just isn't really that when legal firearms owners are forced in to a state of constant paranoia out of the fear that their already legal firearms could be at any moment swept up because some under-educated nit wit deems them to scary or dangerous to be in the hands of a non military personnel, I here by declare that soy lattes scare me and I wish for them to be outlawed because they can cause anaphylactic shock for people with milk allergies, makes about as much sense.

For anyone just reading this it did start as a list of Non-restricted black rifle but I was advised to remove it because of trolls and spys.

I feel like somebody posted something similar to this earlier, well anyways it's very useful, And should be stickied. I recommend adding in MSRP and if possible EE price.

I was going to do mrsp but the values I was getting were American mrsp and don't really work for our market.
 
lol oh dear.

This is not the first time a list like this has been pitched guys.

It is always shut down as a bad idea, because it gives antis a super convenient shopping list of things that desperately need to be banned.

Well that sucks because it's something people that aren't trolls are always curious about.

Yeah and its not a secret that there are Antis and LEO's that troll these forums. Best we dont have a ban list prepared for them.
 
Thanks for posting this, I was always curious. However I do agree that you should take it down. It's a real shame, but it seems that's the way thing are going these days.

If you want any in depth information on non restricted rifles and pistol magazine regulation, just read the recent Global special report on the subject, it was all written with research done by helpful CGN'ers. ;)
 
By not posting a list it may delay the inevitable but it will still happen in the long run if it goes ahead and they reclassify thousands of firearms.

It's not like they can't just go look at the hunting with a black rifle thread and pick them out of there for a ban list or reclassification list. So really being paranoid is way over the top unless your going to censor everything.
 
So let me get this straight. We can't make a list, because anti's and LEO could use it against us? Who's forum is this, anyway? Did everyone miss all those photo stickies about AR15's, CZ858's, Swiss Arms, etc that they can see already? Do you really think that an anti would look at a list and think "bingo, we've got them!"? Don't you think they would have such a list for a loooong time already? It is our forum, after all, and doing a simple search will net anyone all sorts of "black" rifle pics and info, whether this post is deleted or not. I think this whole idea is ridiculous.
 
YA lets just be Canadian pay our taxes and have a government that tells us what they are going to do,remember when we told them.There is nothing illegal with the post.I think people have to stand up for what we have before its gone ,because once its gone youre not getting it back

Well, why don't we shut down CGN then, cause it's a never ending source of information for the anti's, if you want to take it that far. Bottom line is, its our site, not theirs, and I really don't care what they think about it. This information is not exactly a state secret, and is available, I'm sure, on thousands of other websites, so why can't we enjoy this one?

I don't understand the paranoia about this subject, I really don't.
