Non Restricted Black Rifles

I am not going to go to a news web site to check on anything about guns,So later they can say "in 2013 we had this many hits on our should not own scary guns".Look at all the people who want them gone

Well, why don't we shut down CGN then, cause it's a never ending source of information for the anti's, if you want to take it that far. Bottom line is, its our site, not theirs, and I really don't care what they think about it. This information is not exactly a state secret, and is available, I'm sure, on thousands of other websites, so why can't we enjoy this one?

I don't understand the paranoia about this subject, I really don't.

I think it's the pictures that some of us are concerned about, especially when they are posted in one convenient package with no people shown behaving with them and having fun too. They say a "thousand words" to the anti's, no thinking required. "Ooooh, they look scary" etc.

Wrt to Kidako's fear post above, the fact that some are concerned about assisting the anti's does not mean they will bend over and not fight. It just means it may not be in our best interest to feed their BS.

There are plenty of pic threads that have all those photos in one location on CGN, in nearly every section, which is why I don't understand the problem with a post like this, but enough of beating a dead horse. To those wanting to know what black/red/battle/tacticool rifles are available, just do simple searches, and have a look at the pic threads already stickied in every subsection....oops, I may have helped an anti with that advice.

yeah it's a tricky situation.
the last one of these lists i saw a few months ago almost made me cry.
i wanted every one, lol.
i should have printed it out and put it on my wall.
sigh, i wish i had more money to spend.

Right, and instead of being spoon fed anti's will have to do research. And in doing so, they might actually learn something. Ya' know, like semi's cannot "easily be altered to full auto" and that semi's are "assault rifles" (I repeatedly hear this sh#t in the media) and so forth.

NR Black Rifle sticky.....It wouldn't be the first time I have suggested it.

Normally when a governing body has a policy against something, they come out and make it known. Not on CGN, here you can make your list, some will like it, and some will hate it, others will be undecided, then after a few pages, it will inexplicably be removed/locked/deleted. I get why a lot of people think it's a bad idea, but for me the Mods coming right out and saying, "We won't do this because" would really help, until then, it will continue to be suggested and debated.

Just ignore the people telling you not to post it. Other's opinions of what you should and shouldn't do/have is what got gun owners into this paranoid mess to begin with.

However, a simple search does turn up the(my) post some are referring to.

Where in Toronto can I shoot a Rifle?

Where do you shoot Niggles? ;)

Beats me, I'm from Timmins so I really don't care! Lots of bush at home to go play in!!! Just here for school.

You don't care? Gee, I'm pretty sure the 29,000 remaining gun owners in Toronto (a measly 1%), care very much. Perhaps you don't own a black rifle?

Why the hell are you on my case anyways? I just posted a link to a thread that the O.P. wanted to make.. Damn dude. How you made the leap from a list of NR black rifles to shooting in Toronto and then took issue with it is beyond me....

BTW, I do own a black rifle, and have owned a couple. What's that have to do with anything.

Find someone else to rag on for no reason.

"Other's opinions of what you should and shouldn't do/have is what got gun owners into this paranoid mess to begin with."

Your info says your in Toronto but you say "I'm from Timmins so I really don't care!" about the fact that it is extremely difficult to shoot in TO.

"I just posted a link to a thread that the O.P. wanted to make.." Right, a link to your thread with yet another list.

Niggles, I apologize for you feeling upset. But perhaps you can see why I got on your case? But hey, I do apologize and no offense ok?

In my opinion, publishing lists is a lot like brandishing firearms out in public. It isn't helpful. If people want to help our sport survive, then belong to the CSSA and the NFA. And take others to the range and teach them how great the sport is. Let them appreciate how much gun owners must go through to get people to the range. They have to take courses and pass tests They have to apply for a licence and undergo close scrutiny by police. They often have to wait months to get a licence. They have to join a club, pay fees, undergo a probation period, pay every time they shoot (at my clubs anyways), get an ATT for restricted, carry their guns with locked triggers in locked cases. And they have to be damn careful about how they handle those firearms at the range too. All this earns a lot of respect from new people to the sport. I know 'cause every time I take someone I can tell they are impressed with the process. And I'm sure you have taken people out, and lots of others on the board have too.

As for helping newbies on the board, there is a hell of lot more to black rifles than pics and prices. If someone is willing to learn about each and everyone so that they can pick the one most suitable to them, then they don't need to be spoon fed. It takes time to learn about all this subject as it is varied and deep. So I suggest to newbies that they take the time and make the effort to read. Enjoy the process of learning from Black and Green rifle owners. Then buy one and shoot it with your friends and families :D
