NON Restricted Colt Ar in .22lr

I played with it at SHOT. It's a .22lr blowback with a somewhat flimsy AR shell built around it. All of the parts are proprietary, including the magazines which are not interchangeable with the Black Dog ones. That being said, if this lump manages to get in as not being a variant, it will be a strong argument for having the GSG5 looked at again.

Thanks for the info. Could you be a little more specific on the build? For the advertised weight I would have thought it would be quite strong. Did you happen to see the SIG522?

I really didn't spent much time with it. I got suckered in by seeing the "Colt" sign and the neat little AR on the wall with a bunch of mediocre airguns. I fiddled with it a bit and got the impression that it was flimsy piece of junk that people who didn't know any better would buy and moved along.
I did not get a chance to take a look a the Sig 522.

Hmm interesting. It's good to have someone that has actually looked at one in person give their opinion. As for the Sig. Anyone else think it looks, umm "fake"?

I know it's restricted but.... I have to say the Tactical solutions upper does rock. If the bolt release worked it would be perfect. But I can live with that.
