Non-restricted DA50s are here!

What's everyone using for:

(1) Stock?
(2) Bipod?
(3) Scope?
(4) Rings/Bases? 20 MOA?

Cheers
Jay

Boy this thing is a beast! Looking forward to firing it but I am a little gun shy for now!
Anyway, got a magpul moe rifle stock from Canadammo on it, recoil pad and a soft grip on order.
Scope is a cabelas pine ridge 6-18x44 bdc that I had laying around on some Leo rings. Curious how many rounds the scope will hold up!
Every time I look over at a box of .50 I chuckle...
Great service from Canadaammo, excellent shipping from canpar
Trigger pull is like shoveling snow off a spalling concrete driveway, gritty and long, but until I do some polishing (after shooting a few rounds) I did come up with a way to make it acceptable but sketchy, try this with the lower removed, catch the hammer with your thumb so it doesn't smack the receiver:

#### hammer and apply safety
Squeeze trigger - you will feel some trigger movement until safety catches
Finger off trigger
Release safety, thumb on hammer ( don't push the hammer down or you will have to start over)
Squeeze trigger to fire

This gets rid of 90% of the gritty creep on mine. Note that as with any safety, be ready for a bang at any time...sketchy with a 50!

One other thing to be extremely careful about- if the safety is not applied, mine will fire anytime bolt is forward and not locked down and trigger is pulled i.e. Out of battery. Apply the safety before loading, obvious of course, but there are a lot up buddies keen on having a go...

Cheers
Oh and a ps, the cabelas double gun hard case (sale now and again for $99) will fit scoped rifle and lower if you remove lower, kind of angle the upper and the lower fits next to the bbl, barely

Have you tired it with the upper and lower assembled ? If so, I think something is wrong with your trigger. Mine is light and sensitive- When guests sit down to try it out, i won't even take the safety off until they are on target, and ready to shoot. Then I warn them it's live and to gently place their finger on the trigger.

Same deal, goes thru several stages of grit before it lets off. I can see machining marks horizontally across the sear, the web says they wear (AR) in after a few hundreds or thousands of rounds. Don't think I can afford that!
On that note has anybody taken the hammer/trigger group out yet, instead of push pins they are threaded hex head, not sure if I need to remove the safety or not...

Not much I don't think, pelican long rifle cases seem to stop around 50" id or so. Be big $ as well. Probably cheaper to find a good carpenter and some pick and pluck foam...
I'm going to dig around a bit at work and see what I can find, I've had custom cases built by SBC and they are pretty reasonable. ht tp://www.sbccase.com/products/product/hard-case/oilfield.html

I got a 50bmg drag bag. It's 60" long, works great.

Yeah that's a good idea, I think I have a garret metal detector padded bag that might be long enough. But the cabelas case is cheap, and it's not like you are torqueing the barrel/action when you remove/install the lower. Just builds suspense!

I went with:
-a magpul prs gen 3 stock
-utg combat sniper grip
-utg recon 360 super duty bipod
-burris P.E.P.R mount
-monopod accu shot bt12 (had it lying around)
-bushnell elite tactical 6-24 scope
Can't wait to get her out!!
