Non-restricted DA50s are here!

sorry if i sound dumb, but what exactly should i be looking for? thanks

See if it's hard to chamber one round or not. If it's hard to chamber it, send Canada Ammo a email and go from there. There is no ETA on new barrel FYI and don't fire it or you wont be able to return it(other dealer who used to carry this product just told me this "policy" which I don't really agree with it since I can't really tell the issue until I actually fire one live round)

Fired guns are still covered under warranty FYI.

So does that mean you will fix my gun for the third time? My first emails to you you company stated " since I modified the rifle by mounting an atrs lower to it I voided the warranty". After some back and forth then myself posting pics online of my unfinished chamber I ended up getting a new barrel that fails headspace. So my question is, will this rifle be repaired again or would you simply buy it back at what I paid for it??

Yes, if the barrel is defective, we will install a new barrel once Mossberg sends us the new ones

I finally gave up on mine. Got the ATRS lower etc. Think my upper was one of the first batch. Thing wouldnt fire and the bolt moves back and forth when a round is in battery (which needless to say made me worried about headspacing or an OOB round being fired). Thought that was kinda sketchy so let it sit for a bit and worked on other projects. Finally after buying a serbu RN50 and having good luck with that, I thought I'd try to get my old DA50 running. I figured out that the firing pin was burred and not even making it through the bolt face. Fixed that with a file. But it was still moving forward and back by about 2-3mm when in battery. So today I took an empty and tried chambering it (I know, probably a mistake since its once fired to a different gun) and tried chambering that to see if it was still moving forward or back. Now the empty is stuck in the chamber, my bolt wont move and I think I broke my buffer tube or stock trying to get the damn thing open, lol. Think im gonna need a few drinks and a hammer to get the sucker running... Dont suppose anyone else has had similar problems and has tips on making the thing act like something other than a 50lb paperweight?

:sok2 *slowly slides credit card back into wallet*

Getting anymore of these in the foreseeable future

Still waiting on Mossberg to send new barrels to replace the defective ones. Apparently now they want Canam to send them the bad ones first.

I understand them wanting the barrels back. They need proof of how many they screwed up.
Canam had about 30 short chambered barrels alone that were found before mounting.

I lucked out and my Gen 1 DA50 brass is all reloadable the DA556 not so much.
