you can get nice birch laminate from home depot

The depot has birch laminate plywood which I have laminated into a gun stock at decent prices just cut out the shape several times and laminate them together.

I guess I don't spend enough time on forums to have figured out how to translate humour to text. I still demand a build thread but in a more humourous sounding way, perhaps with one of these :D

Also: That SKS converted one (was it an SKS) Dimitri built also looks great. Perhaps I should be demanding a build thread for that as well :p

Looks great, very nice job on the svt-40 conversion.
You took an interesting approach to convert it to an SVD.

Three years ago I did an svt-40 modification myself. Here is a photo of it:

Right now I am working on modifying the trigger set of this rifle. I want to eliminate the military styling of it.
 
BC1 do you think you could describe the build...

If you get the time would you like to provide some details of this build. I like the way that it came out. IF you have pictures in progress that would be great thanks in advance . I doubt that I am the only one interested.

When I finish with the trigger group I'm planning on beginning work on the next rifle. I'll take photos of the process and then make a post with the album here on the forum.

You can ask me any technical questions in particular that you have and I'll answer over private message.

I'll be working on another SVT-40. New stock and the trigger group that I mentioned in the previous post. As well as new scope mounts that will allow me to install any type of scope.

In the future I'll be working on a TOZ-8 or TOZ-12.
 
damn lol here in the u.s. svt-40's are pretty rare!, but we do have psl's, and dragunovs a plenty lol!!!! but thats what happens, you canadians get to stick your tounges out at us, and say na na na na na we have norincos/tokerevs/etc..... but of course we have dragunovs, ak's, uzi's, aug's etc.... and we get to have full capacity un-nuetered magazines lol!!!! i wish both our countries could just get rid of the gun laws we dont like, and import the guns, and gear that we both like lol!!! then if we could just make it legal for us to have cross border open trade in arms/ammo/ etc! without government interference or laws, we would both be rocken like dokken lol!!!!
