Non Restricted Firearms Shooting Question.

Hey,

I live in Toronto Ontario, Behind my house i have a huge forest that no one ever uses. I heard that you can shoot unrestricted firearms on your property. is this true or will i get in trouble. The firearm i want to shoot is a remington 597vtr chambered in 22.lr. Am i allowed to shoot on my property?

i think that there might be bylaws about shooting inside city limits, but i'm not sure if you are inside them.

If you live IN Toronto, expect to be a part of a 'high risk' take down if you shoot your rifle.

If you live outside of the city, where there is no "No-Discharge" bylaw then you are good to go provided you are shooting safely.

Now, to be 100% confident that you wont get into trouble I suggest you contact local authorities.

As far as I know you cannot discharge a firearm anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area other than an approved range

Shooting in Toronto is the easiest way to get the ETF to haul you away at gun point.
