non restricted sub 9mm/45acp

where do you get an mp5 non restricted? who makes them?

That's not a stupid question. But the answer IS stupid.

That particular model of firearm is on the Canadian banned list, along with the SPAS-12, the UZI, and the AK47.

Nobody really knows why. It just is.

@Ar180shooter, I have a life and dont need to know every make and model. sorry im not as educated as you. Next time dont bother posting. I dont care to hear it from a high on life know it all.

Check out the ballz on that one, lol.

"I have a life"... does it mean that the rest of the members on CGN who are actually AWARE of our gun laws do not? There's a BIG difference between having a life and being an ignorant doorknob.

:feedTroll:

I wish someone would make a more "traditional" style pistol calibre carbine in the same manner as the Ruger PC9 or Marlin Camp 45...

Firstly, I don't expect you to know every make and model that is listed as a prohibited firearm. If you were asking if the Demro TAC-1 is legal, I'd probably just have said "no, it's prohibited".

Now as you've been here for over a year and are asking about NR black rifles, it's not unreasonable to expect that you've at least taken a look through the Firearms Act and the list of firearms prescribed to be prohibited. Of those firearms, the H&K MP5 is one of the infamous ones. Basically, you've apparently taken no effort to educate yourself on Canadian firearms laws.

Now I understand that we were all new to this at some point, but when you make comments like the one I quoted, you definitely discourage people from helping. If you had replied along the lines of "What did I say wrong? I'm new at this and looking for advice", I would have just explained the situation.

But I digress...

Before you make any more comments, read through the Firearms Act and the RCMP Fact Sheets concerning the Firearms Act. For the fact sheets, you can skip over the ones that don't apply to you, but read all of the ones concerning firearms. It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to cover all of it.

have all the bugs been sorted out on the JRCarbine? Jamming, ejection failures, loose mag?

Yeppers! I have one;the newest gen and all the gremlins be exterminated. The older ones have the angular /triangular barrel and they had the grems.

Just remember when you lip off in CGN, all the OG's will pounce. Speaking from personal experience. Like it or lump they are a wealth of wisdom and humor!

No love for the price. Its way too much when you can get a non-restricted JR Carbine for like $800-900 that takes AR accessories and uses easily aquired mags.

The BRS-99 and JR Carbine aren't playing the same game...

Not to be knocking the JR Carbine, it's a neat little gun. I really liked my Sub 2000, but it's not something you compare to a BRS-99, which is a high quality smg and not an inexpensive pistol caliber carbine.

I've never really looked at the JRs before but it would suit my purposes perfectly. I've done some searches here and didn't come up with much info on the one I'd be keen on...
.45acp that takes 1911 mags. I'm awash in 1911 mags, might as well get dual use out of them. Are they available in Canada? Haven't seen much on them and don't see any mention with any of the vendors.
