Non-Restricted Tactical Rifle Choices?

I fell in love with the 'Canadian_Non-Restricted' SG 550 at an outdoor store I visited last week. It got me thinking, what other choices are out there for a reliable and accurate (and obviously tacticool) rifle that isn't restricted in Canada? Something with a factory picatinny rail chambered in 5.56 would be preferable. While the iron sights on the SIG are the nicest I have ever seen, I would still like to be able to mount 3x or 4x optics on it. The SIG is a little pricey, especially given the lack of any optics mounts, but it is quite impressive.

In addition to those, there are people who have re-barreled their FN FS200's and PS90's to non-restricted. And the Benelli MR1 should be coming in sometime this year.

Eesh, I'm not up to snuff on the 'tactical carbine' lingo, post edited. Probably why I couldn't get any search results.

Is the XCR really non-restricted? I'll be doing some research on it tonight. For about $4000 dollars, the 550 would have a picatinny on it. I have no idea what an XCR is worth, but I'm sure it's worth it.

You can buy a Swiss Arms with a picitinny rail for less than 3K used. Usually $2600+mags and whatever. MUCH better rifle than that nasty XCR.

You can pick up a new XCR for about $2500. It's already chock full o' rails. In my opinion it's a great rifle.

The Benelli? Not sure of the price, though there has been rumors of a sub $2000 price tag. Of course, until it is official, they are just rumors.

The Swiss Arms is NOT a 550. How do I know? The 550 and all variants are prohibited by name in the legislation, hence they are not 550's.
