non-restricted transfer held up

I bought a new remington pump action shotgun today from a gun store in calgary. when they went to register it it came up as "internal server error" or something to that effect.

They told me i can most likely pick it up tomorrow.

is this a cause for concern or does that happen frequently?

any input will be much appreciated.

I sold a non-restricted once and the same thing happened. What do you expect for only a billion dollars?

Only delay I've ever had was with a 3 digit SN on an old Enfield. Took about a week to sort out.

ive had it happen a few times with long guns, its normal. call the CFC and find out where its being held up (registrar or cfo) and ask to speak with someon in the respective office. I found it usually made things move a bit faster.

"..."internal server error"..." CFC's computers were likely down. Nothing to worry about.

Happens frequently. Nothing for you to worry about. Just delays your enjoyment of your new toy.

thanks for all the replies. it turns out they had the wrong serial number in their inventory. they got it all straightened out the next day and i was able to take her home!
