Non steel core 7.62x39?

We're fortunate that the ATF designated 7.62x39 as "armour piercing handgun ammo" after folks started to build AK pistols.

If not, we wouldn't see the ammo that we get as it would go to the US.
Olympic Arms and the OA-93 are to blame for that. A couple hundred AK pistols existed around the same time but ATF didn't make the ruling until seeing the OA-93 in 7.62x39 at SHOT in '94.

Here ya go! This should fit the bill!

It's copper jacket soft point, solid lead core, Boxer primed re-loadable brass case. Very accurate and loaded hotter than the milsurp stuff just FYI.
Not cheap but excellent hunting ammo.

The other option would be to take some standard milsurp ammo, pull the bullets and load in some of the Hornady Vmax 123 grn bullets = instant nonsteel Mexican match ammo!

:cheers::cheers:

Sellier and Bellot 7.62x39 is RNSP lead core with reloadable brass cases. It shoots to the same POA as Russian surplus in my SKS @ 100m. About a buck a round in boxes of 20 at just about every gun shop I have ever been in.
