Noob Advice Please on a Scope

HEy

First off its a a Redhead scope 6-24X40mm ..Picked up from ProBass.

Nothing special I know but its all I gots at the moment.

My friend gave it to me cause he wants one thats lots better.

Heres the problem;

I mounted it on my Tikka T3 and the reticle inside is leaning to the right.

As we all know it should be straight up and down 12 0 clock so its lined up with the gun and the scopes elevation dial- well this is tilting say 12:30 ..

Now u know why I got it for free. Any advice on how to fix this?

Loosen rings, then rotate scope until crosshairs are straight up and down, re-tighten rings.

A few years ago I aquired one of the same scopes. Please don't invest anything in trying to repair as, honestly, they are really not worth it. Have fun with it as its a freebie but don't spend a cent on any repair.

Do yourself a favour and save up for a decent scope. $250+ as a minimum for a rifle like a Tikka. Did you not factor in a decent scope when you bought the rifle?

x2 your reticle just needs to be aligned.

Put it somewhere as a show piece to remind yourself this is one item you shouldn't skimp on for a rifle. You'd be wasting your time and the shells trying to sight this scope in. The reticles have moved once, chances are they will move again.
