Hello CGN

Well this is my first post up on CGN so my apologies for the intro in the wrong section however I do have a question for the folks here who can shed some light.
Well the story starts with passing my pal and r-pal back in 2000 or 2002 can't quite remember. I never sent away my paperwork and recently while cleaning out the parents place I stumbled upon them.
Now when I ran through and passed the course my work had me bouncing around the globe so in my defence I wasn't really around. Now many years later I called into the CFC to enquire if I would need to redo the course as I'm now back in Canada hopefully for good and am eager to take up target shooting. After calling in I was informed that my paperwork was on file and that I only needed to submit CAFC 921. So off I go and get everything filled in only and send off my completed application which was recieved 2 weeks ago.
When I go to check the status of my application online day after day I keep getting the same message stating "no record" would this be normal?
I get the mandated waiting period however thought that there would be some sort of record or acknowledgement that the ball was rolling. Right now all I have is the Tracking record and signature that someone at central processing signed for it. Any advice or clarification would be great.

cheers and giddy up
thanks for having me on the boards

IIRC, I think it took 2-3 weeks for the status to change on my application - I know they don't update the website every day. Your best bet is to call them, or just be patient. It took about 3 months from the day I mailed the apps to getting the license in my hands.

okay well I just called central processing and they said my references and I checked out and now the application was forwarded to the CFO for Ontario, any suggestions on how much longer is needed b4 I the card shows up in the mail?
