Noob on handguns

Tokorev was the other handgun I was considering! Is that ammo easy to find, seemed like it was only available in huge surplus crates for like $400, at least on the websites I checked, so that kinda made it unappealing to me. 22s are real guns, but, you know, some ppl seem to think they are the pee wee beginner gun, but I dont mind you gotta start somewhere.

I'm a noob too. Glock 17 was my first. And I was not disappointed to say the least. (let the taunts of Glock fan boy and such commence) Just waiting on a transfer for my second, a .45, STI Ranger 1911. I am excite. Can't wait to get into the guts of that gun. As for the Glock, Yesterday, put my 2500 round threw it and funny enough right on that round it failed to eject. lol. I should throw it out. heh. But for real, a good quality, reliable, simple to take down, maintain and operate weapon. The ammo is relatively cheap and abundant. Parts and add-ons are also quite abundant. At least for me it was a good fit.

See if you can get to the range with someone. I got a GSG and a few others you could try out. Not sure when I'm going next though...but I'll give you a holla....probably be a couple weeks.

Add another vote for the 1911-22 platform. My first was a sig 1911-22, same gun as the gsg, and its a great shooter. Eats the federal bulk pack ammo (blue box) and functions exactly like a regular 1911. Magazine disconnect was a pain, but easy to remove.
