Hey guys i was reloading some 9mm on my hornady lock and load progressive press and the pin on the decapping die, that pushes out the primer, came off. It was sent down the tube and into my container of spent primers, dug it out and it wont stay back in? what do i do? send the die to LEE?

Not sure what to do, i have a pack of lyman decapping pins, but they wont stay in. Do i need LEE decapping pins.

Thanks,
Adam

The nut on top of the die is tightened to hold that decapping pin in place.

You need 2 wrenches, 1 for that little nut the other fits on the main body of the die.

Put the decapper back in and while holding the die still with the big wrench tighten the small nut on top till it holds the decapper in place.

It has to be pretty tight but not crazy tight.

Sorry was on the Black Berry before so never saw the picks!

That little pin should not have fallen out but you can change out the whole rod/pin assembly by following my instructions up top. Should only be a couple bucks, if you have a Lee dealer close by. Might even find one at Bass Pro!

I emailed lee when the pin on my decapper snapped after 20 rds. If you send them an email with photos and describe what happened and how old the decapper is they'll send you a new decapper. I think it took ten days for me to get mine in the mail.
