Noob question about replacing charging handle on AR15

The best thing about an AR, is that there are 1000's of different configurations to suit every shooters wants/needs. I have BCM Large latch handles on all of my AR's because I like them. They're easy to operate and they're a relatively inexpensive upgrade. Do the standards ones work? Of course, but I prefer the larger latch. To each their own.
 
do something today that your future self will thank you for....because future self just got noticed by the hot blonde at the range who only noticed him for his cool charging handle....everything's better if all your s#~t's cool lol

Why so defensive guy!? It's the internet we all get to make fun of each other. You can probably run circles around me and my BCM gunfighter. But at least I will look cooler!

I'm not defensive, I'm offering a little insight.

Don't worry I own/use plenty of BCM and Raptor CH's. I just can't stand the mall ninja crowd who put hundreds if not thousands into something they have no clue how to use and probably won't use, just to look cool.

Why does that bother you?! Some people do civil war reenactments, some dudes just like to play dress up!
 
Freedom is not about needs... more like "want" and because "I can". Why stress the little things like what someone else does with their equipment? Life's too short. Hug a kitten.

try clearing a tough jam with the factory charger. I originally went to a tac latch and then upgraded to the BCM and then got the RA Raptor for another rifle.
 
I have a 30MM scope on the rifle and it is difficult to straddle both sides of a standard charging handle. I installed a GunFighter handle with the size large extension on the left side and it is now very easy to #### the rifle with the left hand on just the one side.

Cool has nothing to do with it. I had a speed issue and I solved it.

I was waiting for someone to mention the advantage of an oversize charging handle with a scope. That is precisely why a few of the guys I shoot with use a Raptor...I guess Deitz and his fellow range members, most of whom he taught how to shoot (hooray!), don't have scopes ;)

Me, I just like having the most badass charging handle on my rifle and I couldn't give a rats a$$ who notices or who doesn't.
