Noob question --> Goose Hunting: morning or evening and why?

Thanks for the advice guys!

The Spank: Thanks for the fantastic advice! As for the decoys, I have been looking at the SAIL website, and they seem to have a decent deal or two on there. I MAY go with a new set up, but also wouldn't mind a few used deeks to get a larger setup. I mean, if the birds don't see so well in the morning light, I may stand a better chance of not having my crappy decoys noticed ;)

I can definitely see how new decoys make the difference as they are much more lifelike...however, I am not sure if 6 birds can really attract a flock of geese? Then again, I guess if they see a few, they may just come right on in, as they think its a safe spot ;)

I guess I have MUCH to learn. That tip about the "X" is very sound advice :)

There's nothing like arriving at a field in pitch blackness, setting up your decoys as the sky turns to pink in the East, and sitting in the stubble chatting with your buddy while you finish your coffee as you wait for the first few threads of geese to appear . . .

Sounds fantastic...care to take me along? (despite being a province over lol)
