noob question regarding reciever pins rem 870

I removed my receiving pins to install an aim sport battle rail and realized I had to file down my ati forend to make it fit. I didnt realize that while I moved onto the forend it knocked the recieving pins out of alignment and the trigger assembly slightly dropped a mm. I have never encountered this before and even when I try putting the factory pins in I can only get 3/4 of the way through the reciever. I dont want to break anything so thought I should ask someone if I need to hammer with some force to realign, or if there is a trick to lining it up again please and thanx
 
Wiggle the trigger group as you push it, its probably not aligned properly. If you pull it out can you see straight through?
