As I was reading on the forum, alot of people are talking about "trigger jobs". Can somebody shed some light on what exactly is a trigger job.

Thanks

Whats involved in a trigger job depends on what type of gun it is. But basically the work consists of polishing parts and correcting angles to get rid of grit and yield a cleaner/creepless and sometimes lighter trigger pull.

It's where your trigger gets a job and helps pay for the ammo you shoot through it ;) jk

SlimTim gave you the answer, just smoothing everything out

I have a revolver that needed a "reverse" trigger job, the pull was getting so light that it was dangerous. I had several AD's (accidental discharge) by just touching the trigger so I took it apart and reshaped the sear, I think the hardening is gone because the pull slowly getting lighter with use.

You might want to talk with a professional gunsmith like Barry Jensen at Bits of Pieces in Delta, BC. He's as good as they come, and will talk about what he does.
